The Orient Mako GMT Watch RA-BC0004Y30B takes the sports silhouette of the Mako family and sends it travelling. The dial is a warm orange that deepens towards the rim, framed by a two-tone grey and black bezel graduated over 24 hours, and an arrow-tipped golden hand crosses the whole surface to mark a second time zone. The framed date window sits at three o'clock, below the applied bar indices and the printed GMT and Water Resistant 20 bar lines.

Inside beats the F6P22, an in-house mechanical automatic calibre with manual winding and bidirectional rotor, 22 jewels, more than 40 hours of running autonomy and an accuracy of +25 / -15 seconds per day; pulling the crown stops the seconds hand for setting to the second. The stainless steel case measures 42.8 mm wide, 49.5 mm high and 13.4 mm thick, protected by a sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown and a screwed case back engraved with the dolphin design. The unidirectional rotating bezel with 120 clicks carries the 24-hour scale: the GMT hand runs with the hour hand, so the second zone is read by turning the bezel to the desired difference. Water resistance is 20 bar (200 m); the watch wears the diver aesthetic, but it is not a diving watch compliant with the ISO standard. The SUS316L steel bracelet is 22 mm wide and closes with a three-fold deployment clasp with pusher and safety catch.

Orient is one of the few Japanese houses that designs and produces its own calibres, and the Mako is the most recognisable door into that philosophy: honest mechanics, careful finishing and a sporting language repeated for decades. The engraved dolphin on the back and the high-intensity Luminous Light on indices and hour hand belong to that same continuity, here in a collector edition.
