Timex Waterbury Men's Watch TW2V43800

Presenting the Timex Waterbury Men's Watch TW2V43800, a 41 mm round brass case in a bright polished silver finish, with a narrow mirror bezel that frames the dial like a picture. The face is a warm sand-brown tone, printed with TIMEX under twelve and STANDARD above six, plus CHRONOGRAPH and 50M/165FT on either side of the centre. Three recessed sub-counters break the surface, and the hour track mixes dark grey batons, printed 12, 3 and 9 numerals and four solid triangles at the quarters. The hands are brushed grey and hollowed, the chronograph seconds hand is a fine needle tipped with a red disc, and a white date disc sits between four and five. The screw-look fluted crown sits at three, between two round polished pushers, and the case is fitted with a woven nylon strap in dark brown with contrast cream stitching down each side and a pin buckle.

Inside works a quartz movement driving a full chronograph. The sub-dial at nine counts up to 30 elapsed minutes, the one at three is a 1/20 second register, and the counter at six runs the chronograph seconds over 60. Central hour and minute hands keep the time, the date appears through the aperture at four thirty, and the top pusher starts and stops the timing while the lower one resets. A mineral crystal protects the dial, the case is 12 mm thick and water resistance reaches 5 ATM, enough for rain, hand washing and a swim at the surface.

Waterbury is named after the Connecticut town where Timex has its roots, the place where the brand began building affordable American watches in 1854. The line reworks that industrial, no nonsense heritage in clean field and chronograph dials, and this Standard model is one of its most legible interpretations.
