The 40 mm round stainless steel case is finished in bright polished silver, measures 13 mm thick and runs into straight lugs, with a slim stepped bezel framing a domed acrylic crystal. The ice blue dial is laid out with three dark grey counters at 9, 3 and 6 o'clock, a grey outer ring printed with a tachymeter scale and a date aperture between 4 and 5 o'clock. Applied silver baton indices sit at every hour, framed numerals mark 12, 9 and 3, and the TIMEX MARLIN signature is printed just below the 12. On the right flank, a fluted crown is flanked by two round pushers. The brown PU leather strap shows a soft grain and stitched keepers.

Timing comes from a quartz movement, battery driven and requiring no winding, with centre hour and minute hands plus a slender sweep seconds hand. The three sub-counters and the date window complete the display, while the tachymeter track on the dial edge remains the classic reading scale of the model.
