Introducing the Timex Marlin TW2W99100, a 40 mm stainless steel piece built around a green dial with a full racing accent. The round case is polished across the flanks and the sloped bezel, stands 13 mm thick and carries a fluted crown at three o'clock flanked by two round pushers with knurled tips. The dial is the centrepiece: a sunray brushed green field crossed vertically by two yellow stripes outlined in white, running from the outer track down past the lower counter. Framed applied numerals mark 12, 3 and 9, the remaining hours are broad polished batons, and TIMEX MARLIN is printed in white just below twelve. Three recessed counters break the surface, the left one graduated 20, 40 and 60, the right one on a 24 hour scale with a pair of crossed chequered flags at its centre, and the lower one running from 10 to 60. Faceted silver hands and a slim central seconds hand complete the layout, on a brown perforated PU leather rally strap with ivory contrast stitching and a steel pin buckle.

A quartz movement drives the display, chosen for accuracy and for the thin, direct feel it gives the case. The outer flange carries a tachymeter scale printed from 500 down to 60, the classic tool for converting elapsed seconds into average speed over a fixed distance, while the right hand counter is laid out on a 24 hour track marked 04, 08, 12, 16, 20 and 24. The crystal is acrylic, domed and warm the way the original Marlin models were, and water resistance is rated at 5 ATM, comfortable with rain, splashes and hand washing.

Timex traces its roots to the Waterbury Clock Company, founded in Connecticut in 1854, and became the watch that put timekeeping on every American wrist. The Marlin arrived in the 1960s as a slim, honest dress watch and was brought back into the catalogue as one of the brand's most requested reissues. This version pushes that heritage towards motorsport, keeping the compact proportions and the acrylic crystal while adding stripes, chequered flags and a perforated rally strap.
