Meet the Timex Expedition North Men's Watch TW2Y30700, a field watch built around a 39 mm round brass case finished in silver, with brushed flanks and a polished edge that catches the light along the bezel. The matt black dial puts everything in lime green: oversized Arabic numerals at 12, 2, 4, 8 and 10, rectangular markers on the remaining hours and a dotted minute track running around the outer edge. Above the centre you read the TIMEX signature and the word EXPEDITION, and below it the mountain logo sits over the WATER RESISTANT 50m/165ft inscription. Hour and minute hands are broad sword shapes filled with green material, the seconds hand is a thin needle with a counterweight, and a date window with a black disc and white figure opens at three o'clock. The fluted crown protrudes from the right flank, while the smooth black ecopiel strap is stitched in contrasting grey and fitted with wide keepers that follow the line of the lugs.

Inside runs a quartz movement, chosen here for the same reason a field watch always was: it keeps time without asking anything of you. The display is a classic three hands plus date layout, hours, minutes, sweeping seconds and the calendar at three. A mineral crystal protects the dial and the case measures just 10 mm thick, so it slides under a shirt cuff or a jacket sleeve without catching. Water resistance is rated at 5 ATM, enough for rain, washing your hands and a swim.
