Versace Sunglasses VE2257-100287

We present the Versace VE2257-100287, a sunglass proposal that embodies the characteristic duality of the Italian maison: baroque glamour and clean modernity coexisting in a single frame. The rectangular shape is resolved in metal with a glossy finish on the front and gold temples, a combination that brings personality without resorting to ostentatious opulence. The 60 mm lens width with 16 mm bridge and 145 mm temple positions the model in size XL, a balanced proportion that sits without invading the face and respects the oval / round features it is meant to accompany.

The lens is the expressive heart of this reference. Versace has opted for a base 2 in polycarbonate with grey dark tinting. The surface incorporates an external hard coat treatment, and UV400 protection is guaranteed by filtering the entirety of the UVA and UVB spectrum. It is neither polarised nor mirrored: the code here is subtlety, not effect.

The signature detail is on the temples. Over the material appears the golden Medusa plaque, symbol of the house since 1978, accompanied on the inside by the Greek key pattern printed in discreet contrast. The bridge carries adjustable nose pads to optimise support on the septum without pressing, and the hinges are standard type with precise opening that maintains geometry after months of use. The glossy finish on the front catches occasional reflections while the gold temples bring just the right contrast without being invasive.

Versace was born in Milan in 1978 from the hands of Gianni Versace, a creator who understood before anyone else that fashion could be art and music at the same time. The Medusa is not just a logo: it is a statement, a myth of magnetic fascination that the maison chose to speak of seduction without half measures. This eyewear collection carries that DNA forward, combining classical Greek references with twenty-first century optical materials and techniques. Every pair comes out of the Italian district of Agordo where the finest tradition of frame craftsmanship is concentrated, guaranteeing a level of finish that only decades of craft can deliver.
