Timex Ironman Digital Men's Watch TW5M63000

Presenting the Timex Ironman Digital Men's Watch TW5M63000, a round 42 mm case moulded in black nylon, matte to the touch and just 9 mm thick, built the way Ironman watches have always been built: light, blunt, ready to be knocked about. The upper bezel carries the white 100 LAP MEMORY inscription, and four grey side pushers marked INDIGLO, MODE, RECALL and SET sit at the corners, each protected by a raised black guard. Below the screen, two wide front buttons labelled STOP-RESET and START-SPLIT fall exactly under the thumb. The positive LCD panel reads pale green with crisp black segments, framed by the printed TIMEX IRONMAN TRIATHLON logo and the WATER 100 METERS RESIST line, with STORE-CLEAR, LAP and STATUS markings around the edges. The black polyurethane strap is ribbed near the lugs, embossed with IRONMAN TRIATHLON on the upper half and TIMEX FLIX on the lower one, and fastens with a plain buckle.

The digital movement drives a multi-line display: hours, minutes and seconds with PM indicator on the main row, day of the week and full calendar date, and a chronograph with 100 lap memory. START-SPLIT takes split times on the fly, STOP-RESET halts and clears the count, RECALL walks through stored laps and STATUS keeps the running data in view. The INDIGLO electroluminescent backlight floods the whole dial in an even glow at the press of a button, the acrylic crystal shrugs off scratches from the pool deck, and the 10 ATM rating covers swimming and open water training.

The Ironman line arrived in 1986 and became one of the best selling watches of its decade, worn by triathletes, night shift workers and anyone who needed lap times without ceremony.
