Skagen Earrings Sofie Sea Glass SKJ1922710

Picture a late summer morning in Copenhagen. A bike ride along the harbour, coffee at a table by the canal, a breeze that still smells of salt. These are the earrings for that kind of day, and for the dinner that follows it.

The Sofie Sea Glass collection takes its cue from the pieces of glass the North Sea polishes and leaves on Danish beaches. Here that idea becomes a small rectangle of black faceted glass, hanging from a gold-tone huggie hoop. It moves when you turn your head and gives a quiet flash of light, nothing more. That restraint is the whole point.

Wear them with a crisp white shirt and an open collar, or with a black knit when the evenings turn cool. They sit close to the lobe, so they stay comfortable from the first meeting to the last glass of wine. They say you know what you like and never need to shout about it.
