The rotating bezel wears a deep bottle green insert with gold 24 hour numerals and a triangular marker at twelve. The green dial imitates banded malachite, with light and dark striations running horizontally across the surface, printed with cream round dots and baton markers, the Q logo above the TIMEX signature and the QUARTZ SINCE 1972 line at six. Gold dauphine hands carry cream inserts and are joined by a thin gold seconds hand. The integrated bracelet repeats the gold tone in wide flat links with brushed tops and polished bevels, while a fluted gold crown sits at three o'clock.

Inside runs a quartz movement driving central hours, minutes and a sweeping seconds hand, so the watch keeps time without winding and asks only for a battery change. The rotating bezel graduated over 24 hours can be used to follow a second time zone or simply to mark an elapsed period. The acrylic crystal gives the dial the slightly warm, rounded look of the original quartz watches of the period and is easy to polish if it picks up a scratch.
