Max&Co MO0010-5774F Sunglasses

We present the Max&Co. MO0010-5774F, a sunglass proposal that embodies Max Mara's Italian tailoring translated into a fresh generational language. The square shape is resolved in injected propionate with a glossy finish on the front and gold rosa glossy temples, a combination that brings presence without resorting to ostentation. The 57 mm lens width with 17 mm bridge and 140 mm temple positions the model in size L (large), a balanced proportion that sits without invading the face and respects the oval features it is designed to accompany.

The lens is the functional heart of this reference. Max&Co. has chosen a curved base in polycarbonate with pink/violet colouring. Its category 2 filter (medium sun) is designed for medium-intensity sunlight. The surface incorporates a hard coat treatment, and UV400 protection is guaranteed by filtering the entire UVA and UVB spectrum. It is neither polarised nor mirrored: the code here is subtlety, not effect.

The signature detail is on the temples. Over the material appears the M&Co monogram, symbol of the maison since 1986, accompanied on the inside by the MAX&CO. inscription printed in discreet contrast. The bridge carries adjustable nose pads to optimise support on the septum without pressing, and the hinges are standard type with precise opening that maintains geometry after months of use. The glossy finish on the front catches occasional reflections while the gold rosa glossy temples bring just the right contrast without being invasive.

Max&Co. was born in 1986 within the Max Mara group as a young, breezy line for an urban woman of the eighties who wanted Italian tailoring without the formality of classic prêt-à-porter. Achille Maramotti had founded Max Mara in Reggio Emilia in 1951 with the idea of democratising luxury through ready-to-wear, and Max&Co. inherited that philosophy with a generational twist: vivid colours, more fluid lines, accessories designed for a label-free cosmopolitan life. Max&Co. eyewear carries that spirit onto the face: contemporary Italian design, playful colour palette, clean geometries that do not compete with the outfit. Each reference is made in Italy under licence and combines the artisan tradition of the Veneto optical district with the maison's fresh visual language.
