Porcelain Lladró LED and Battery Kit for Lithophanes 01086073

Lladró lithophanes are not pieces you look at, they are pieces you switch on. The porcelain is cast at deliberately uneven thicknesses so that, when light passes through from behind, every thickness becomes a different shade and the image appears. Switched off there is only white porcelain; switched on, the picture emerges. This kit is exactly that light.

The base is a half-sphere in matt white, crowned by a translucent diffuser dome that spreads the beam evenly, with no hot spots and no glare, and a discreet switch on the side. Inside it carries a rechargeable battery: once charged, the lithophane is completely free of cables and can sit on a shelf, a bedside table or a sideboard without depending on a nearby socket. Charging is done with the white USB cable supplied in the kit. LED technology generates almost no heat, which matters when the light source sits underneath a porcelain piece.

This is the accessory Lladró designed for its own lithophane collection, the one that gathers plates, tulip shades and panels with angels, Christmas motifs, snowflakes and devotional figures. Lladró has been making artistic porcelain in Valencia since 1953, and the lithophane is one of its most singular expressions, because the piece only reveals what it holds once it is lit.

At TicTacArea we carry the Lladró porcelain collection and its accessories, and we ship worldwide with packaging prepared for fragile pieces. If you already own a lithophane with no light, this is the part that puts it to work.
