Meet the Lacoste Metropole Bracelet 2040117, a piece built exactly like a watch bracelet and worn on its own. The silver tone band is made of H shaped links: wide rectangular panels with a vertical brushed grain, joined by narrow connecting bars whose bevelled edges are left bright, so every row alternates matte and mirror reflections. Half of the panels are embossed with a dense diamond grid that reads as crocodile grain when the light moves across it, while the other half stay smooth and satin. At the centre sits a wider polished plate with the Lacoste crocodile engraved facing left, framed by a raised border that doubles as the cover of the fastening system. Seen from the side the bracelet is flat and low, with no protruding pins.

Construction is fully articulated: each link pivots on its own pin, so the band follows the wrist instead of standing away from it, and the inner face is smoothed and rounded to avoid catching on shirt cuffs. The silver colour runs through the whole piece, plate, links and connectors, and the contrast between the brushed tops, the textured panels and the polished flanks is what gives the bracelet its depth under artificial light.

Metropole is the urban line of Lacoste jewellery, inspired by the codes of the city and by the technical vocabulary of watch bracelets.
