Introducing the Coeur de Lion Pearl Line Blue Necklace 4258-10-0700, a piece built bead by bead rather than cast in one go. Several hundred tiny faceted glass rondelles in a deep navy blue run the full circumference, each one cut so that the light breaks into short flashes along the strand. In the shade the colour reads almost black; where the light hits, it turns into bright ink blue. The front section is where the engineering shows. The blue beads give way to small polished gold beads that gather closer and closer together, and then five white pearls appear, each one spaced by a little gold sphere that keeps them perfectly aligned. The gradation is built with size and volume, not with colour. At the back, the gold lobster clasp sits openly on the nape, followed by a wide flat-link extension chain finished with the brand's round signature tag.

The strand combines Crystal Pearls by Swarovski® for the five central pearls, hand-cut glass for the faceted blue beads and gold-finished stainless steel for the metal beads, the clasp and the extension chain.
