Introducing the
Casio G-SHOCK GA-2100LXB-1AER, a total black interpretation of the iconic GA-2100 that pushes the stealth concept to its ultimate extreme. The octagonal matte black resin case with integrated bezel absorbs light without a single reflection, while the black grid-textured dial creates remarkable visual depth. The main hands feature a grey silver finish with a luminous green-lime core, the only flash of color across the entire watch. The applied indices in muted grey barely distinguish themselves from the dial surface under indirect light. On the left side of the dial, a small circular analog sub-display indicates the day of the week with minimal lettering. At the three o'clock position, the LCD digital segment display shows the digital time and date, with active DST and HND indicators. The matte black resin strap with ribbed texture completes a monochromatic aesthetic that has made this reference one of the most recognized in the entire G-SHOCK lineup.
At its heart runs the Casio module 5611, a precise analog-digital caliber combining three hands for primary timekeeping with a compact digital display. This module delivers world time across 31 time zones and 48 reference cities, a 1/100-second stopwatch with capacity up to 24 hours, programmable countdown timer, five independent daily alarms, automatic calendar, and daylight saving time function. The digital display simultaneously shows the second time zone, day of the week, and date. The treated mineral crystal protects the dial from everyday impacts, and the light button activates the LED illumination.
G-SHOCK was born in 1983 when Casio engineer Kikuo Ibe set out to create an indestructible watch after watching one fall and shatter on the floor. After more than 200 prototypes and the legendary ten-meter drop test, the triple-protection structure was born, shielding the module from impact, vibration, and pressure. The GA-2100 marked a milestone within the family in 2019: the Carbon Core Guard architecture integrates an inner housing of carbon fiber reinforced resin that reduces the thickness to just 11.8 mm and the weight to 51 grams without sacrificing a single millimeter of protection. The result is the thinnest and lightest G-SHOCK ever made, and the LXB reference takes that concept to the chromatic extreme.
