Título : Early impressions of the GBD 800 LU
Comentario : The display is much more readable than the negative LCDs on other GBD 800 models. The G Shock Connected app is OK but I am not using mapping features since I have read it drains the phone's battery. After connecting the watch to the phone, the step count that appears on the phone is often about 3% less than what is displayed on the watch. I don't know why. Perhaps the app software is subtracting some steps that have been tagged as due to random hand movement? This is not a big deal. The keeper on the band does not have the small tab that can lock into the holes on the band. Other GBD 800 and GBA 800 models have this desirable feature. However, the band with the reflective stripe does fit tightly through the keeper so at this early stage the keeper does not slide.TicTacArea was good about keeping me updated on the progress of shipping. Though, it was exactly one month and one day between the purchase and the delivery (to Florida in the USA).The main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the watch alarm sound. It is a VERY weak "beep" that only lasts for 10 seconds and does not repeat. It is not useful as an alarm to wake anyone from sleep.
